Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the impact of the santripreneur program on the development of human resources (HR). This study seeks to answer what the santripreneur program is at the Selamat Islamic Boarding School, Magelang City, and how it impacts human resources.

Design/methods/approach – This type of research is descriptive qualitative research, using field research, by collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis was collection, reduction, display, and conclusion. The validity of the data was tested using source triangulation.

Findings The results of this study explain that the Management of Human Resource Development at Pondok Pesantren Selamat Kota Magelang through the 2020 Santripreneur Program can be seen from the input in the form of human resources (students, administrators and carers), the formation of agricultural, fishery, and livestock business units,  adequate, and good cooperation with agencies outside the boarding school.  The human resource development process includes an internal process in the form of mentoring the board students, and caregivers as well as an external process in the form of entrepreneurship education and training.  The development output produces human resources who have managerial abilities.  leadership skills, creative thinking skills, and technical skills.  As for the outcome of human resource development, it results in the independence of the students, the dedication of the students, and the expansion of the program.
