This paper investigates a participatory urban planning project in Yogyakarta aimed at redesigning neglected public spaces into inclusive community hubs. The process included participatory mapping, design workshops, and pilot activations with local youth, women, and disabled groups. The outcomes show improved social inclusion, increased civic pride, and reactivation of underused spaces. The research underscores the potential of collaborative design processes in building more inclusive and democratic urban environments.
